Free Software Foundation-India regards the non free software as a problem and in order to solve the problem, the free software are very important. Free software in India is also known as “Swatantra Software”.
We should also know about the Free Software Foundation-India logo as well. The left side of the logo resembles the famous Ashok Chakra whereas the right side resembles a compact disk. The logo has been so designed to draw a similarity between the freedom of software and the political software. This is what the Free Software Foundation-India promotes among the people.
| The Free Software Foundation-India has a unique organizational structure. The whole organization is divided into 3 parts- the board of directors, the Working Group and the Webmasters. The Board of directors consists of Nagarjuna G who is the chairman of the organization. Arun M is the secretary. Other than this Ananda babu, Ramanraj and V. Sasi Kumar are the other Board Members.
